No. Lu’Ro offers repair and restoration services for all jewelry and watches, regardless of where they were originally purchased.
Do you provide complimentary evaluations?
Yes. Every piece brought in for repair receives a complimentary quote and professional evaluation before any work begins.
What types of jewelry repairs do you offer?
Our jewelers handle everything from simple adjustments to detailed restorations, including ring sizing and resizing, polishing and refinishing, retipping and re-pronging, stone setting and tightening, chain and clasp repair, rhodium plating, and metal restoration.
Can you repair vintage or heirloom pieces?
Yes. We specialise in restoring vintage and heirloom jewelry with the utmost care, ensuring both structural integrity and preservation of original beauty.
Do you service watches as well?
Yes. Our watch technicians provide complete servicing—from battery replacements and band adjustments to crystal repair, movement overhauls, and timekeeping checks.
How long does a typical repair take?
Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the repair. Watch battery replacements, band adjustments, and minor polishing or cleaning are typically completed the same day while you wait. Most other repairs are completed within 7–9 business days, while full restorations may take longer depending on the scope of work.
Can I get an estimate remotely?
Yes. You can book a virtual appointment to discuss your repair needs and receive an initial assessment before bringing your piece to our showroom.
Personalized Jewelry Engraving
What types of jewelry can be engraved?
Rings, bracelets, bangles, and watch casebacks can typically be engraved. Each piece is carefully assessed to ensure the best result based on its width, design, and material.
Do you engrave jewelry purchased elsewhere?
Yes. Engraving is available for both newly purchased and outside pieces.
What engraving methods do you use?
Lu’Ro uses precision diamond-tip engraving to create clean, elegant inscriptions on most metals.
How long does engraving take?
The standard turnaround time is one to one and a half weeks. Rush service is available upon request.
Can you engrave special designs or symbols?
Depending on the piece, logos, fingerprints, handwriting, and select custom designs may be possible. Our specialists will evaluate each item to confirm feasibility.
Can I engrave both the inside and outside of a ring?
Yes. Rings can be engraved either on the inside, outside, or both, provided there is sufficient width for a clear and durable inscription.

Do you offer complimentary appraisals?
Yes. Lu’Ro provides acomplimentary evaluation with the purchase of an engagement ring to help you understand its quality and value.
Can I request an appraisal for jewelry not purchased at Lu’Ro?
Yes. Our team offers appraisal services for all fine jewelry, whether purchased at Lu’Ro or elsewhere. Each request is handled with precision and care.
Why should I have my jewelry appraised?
Appraisals help ensure your jewelry is properly insured, valued, and documented, providing peace of mind in case of loss, damage, or future resale.
How often should I update my appraisal?
It’s recommended to update your appraisal every two to five years, as market conditions and gemstone values can change over time.
What types of appraisals do you provide?
We offer evaluations for insurance and estate purposes, as well as updates to existing appraisals. For resale inquiries, Lu’Ro provides consultation and expert guidance, though no formal appraisal documentation is issued.

Jewelry Consignment
What types of items do you accept on consignment?
Lu’Ro accepts fine jewelry, watches, and loose stones for consignment. Each item must pass an in-person inspection to confirm its authenticity, quality, and condition.
How does the consignment process work?
After inspection, your piece is evaluated to determine its quality, authenticity, and current retail value. We then provide a recommended market price, typically around 60% of the new retail value. Once approved, your piece is displayed in-store under Lu’Ro’s insurance coverage.
What is the commission rate?
Lu’Ro’s consignment program operates on a 60/40 split, with clients receiving 60% of the final sale amount.
When will I receive payment after my item sells?
Payments are processed at the end or beginning of each month, following the completion of the sale.
How long should I leave my item on consignment?
While there’s no fixed duration, we recommend leaving your item for at least one year to ensure maximum visibility during major holidays and key selling periods.
Is there a written agreement?
Yes. A written consignment agreement is provided for your records once your item is accepted.

Warranty
What does Lu’Ro’s warranty cover?
Lu’Ro stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of every piece created. All jewelry is guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
Is the warranty time-limited?
Lu’Ro’s warranty is provided under the implied warranties recognized by U.S. law, ensuring that your jewelry is crafted to the highest standards and fit for its intended purpose.
What is not covered under the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear, accidents, misuse, loss, or unauthorised repairs or alterations.
Can Lu’Ro repair items not covered by the warranty?
Yes. Our Repairs & Restorations service is always available for maintenance, resizing, cleaning, or restoring your jewelry to its original beauty.
What should I do if I believe my item has a manufacturing defect?
